The evil tearlach just wanted Setthapong to believe in him mindlessly. He poisoned Luang Pa Chawan to death. With Luang Pa Chawan away Setthapong will have nothing to believe in except him. Setthapong will have no where to go like other astropaths and will be loyal to tearlach since he is the only one capable of being called "family". This Luang Pa Chawan guy also made Setthapong progress very low since he is too focused to go and see Luang Pa and caused him fatal astro-projecting mistake and almost ended up in a total separation.

In this chapter Tearlach had decided to kill Luang Pa Chawan, which is Setthapong childhood teacher. Setthapong loves and respect him a lot, he also tried to meet him, but staying out of his body too long can be harmful for him. Tearlach, being aware of this, decided to kill Luang Pa Chawan so that Setthapong will not try to meet him again and can finally concentrate on his trainnig. Tearlach decision is very implicit and extreme. Tuyen also regreted his decision, but of course she cannot deny it. I felt sorry for Setthapong that his new teacher is killing his old and respected teacher. Luang Pa Chawan is the only one who have helped him since he became an orphan, losing him must be very hard and painful for him. Tearlach's decision is too extreme and ruthless for a man who called himself a teacher.

Tearlach has made this decision to kill Luang pa Chawan because he think that Luang Pa Chawan is the only man that has relationship with setthapong. He decided to do this because Setthapong was astropathing to visited Luang Pa and cause his body very weak. Tearlach think that this relationship will make Setthapong not concentrade to his lesson and can cause troble to his plan. After the monk has killed Setthapong will discard his past and will have a goal to defeat Cody. He will get stronger with his ability.

Tearlach decided that this must must be done because he thinks that this monk makes Setthapong think about other things. He wanted Setthapong to consentrate about learning. With this monk, Setthapong will havesomeone who he still thinkks that is part of him and is his family. So without this monk, Setthapong will think that he have no other place to go and no one that he could rely on except Tearlach. Tearlach wanted Setthapong to believe that he is his family and that he could help Setthapong. And so that Setthapong will always believe and follow his orders and will be loyal to him.

Tearlach decied to send Tuyen to Thailand to deal with Luang Pa Chawan. The way they did that is to poisoned the monk. Setthapong stayed in Thailand for most of his life and he had lots of memory and connections there. Luang Pa Chawan always the one who guided him during his life as a monk. When Setthapong visited Luang Pa Chawan using his power, Tearlach was very upset by that. The monk is like his rival now because as long as he stays alive, Setthapong would not be loyal to him. Once Setthapong realized that Luang Pa Chawan is sick and dying, he couldn't accept it. But it is the truth that death is the ending for everyone. Setthapong now can carry on practicing with Tearlach with more concentration because now he has no ties to that place anymore.

[/img] In this chapter Tearlach has made a decision to take care of this monk. Please explain why he has decided this must be done. Next think about how this might change things for Setthapong.
Tearlach wished the best for his student, even if that meant hurting the student and others, but if it was a threat toward his student's development he would preclude it in advance. His ambition for his student's luxuriant growth blinded him for he was not focusing on the student's welfare but how he wanted the student to be preeminent above all other astropaths. Sometimes success can be rewarding but other times it may bring its consequences which may not be best for us. Once Setthapong sees his teacher dead, he may not want to ever wander to visit the temple again because of the pain of recollecting rememberances stored there. He would probably be extremely depressed the initial period but as the passing of time heals or sometimes allays all pains, he will feel better and concentrate more on improving his astropath abilities. By doing this however it destroy Setthapong's morality and teaches him to be selfish like his teacher and focus on personal gain only.

Tearlach decided to take care of Luang Pa Chawan, because he might become a problem later on. Setthapong was attached to this monk and might not be able to focus on thetraining. Also, Setthapong would want to vist this monk again if he was still alive and this could distracted him. Tearlach didn't want that to happen, because it might affect Setthapong's development. The training reguired concentration, but if Setthapong still attached to the existence of the monk, he won't be able to focus on the training. The visit that he made to Luang Pa CHawan in this chapter almost caused him death. He planed to poison the monk and let him slowly died. Then, Setthapong will lose all the connection with people outside. Since he didn't have any connection left, he could focus and concentrate on what is left for him. He also will become loyal to Tearlach, because he was the only one Setthapong had.

Tearlach has decided to sent Tuyen to kill Luang Pa Chawan by putting the poison in his food because he want to get rid of Satthapong's weakness and make him focus on the meditation. If he are still concerning and missing Luang Pa Chawan, then there will something that pulled him back and slow down his development. Therefore, it is necessary to kill Luang Pa Chawan even though he may suffer from the death of his mentor but this will make him stronger. Tearlach consider the benefit of this in the long run. Satthapong may lost his concentration and conscious for several days but after he is resilient could get along with it then he will be able to develop highly in meditation.

Tearlach want to take of Luang Pa Chawan because he know that Settapong can't not completely focus on the training. He sent Tuyen to poisonous Luang Pa Chawan and made him suffer for 2-3 days. He want Settapong to focus on the meditation and on the power that he is learning. If Luang Pa Chawan still alive Settapong will want to go back and see Luang Pa Chawan everytime he have chance. This complete change the way Settapong is practicing because Tearlach blames the death of Luang Pa Chawan by saying that Cody was the one who poisonous Luang Pa Chawan. This will make Settapong become very mad at Cody and Tearlach can use Settapong as the secret weapon to do what he want to do. Settapong would not lost his concentration and always diligently doing meditation and improve his advantage.

Setthapong loves Luang Pa Chawan very much. One day, Setthapong used his power to see Luang Pa Chawan. He got out of his body for too long that he was almost completely separate his soul from his body. After Settapong told Tearlach that he visited Luang Pa Chawan Tearlach realized that this monk is a thread for him. The monk had influence Setthapong and make him not able to concentrate on his training. Tearlach wanted Setthapong to concentrate only his training, so Tearlach sent his assistant to murder Luang Pa Chawan. When Luang Pa Chawan died Satthapong will concentrate on his training only. He will not have any distraction. Many things could change for Setthapong. He would be very depress. He could be easily influence by other people because he had no body to rely on. Tearlach could lie to Setthapong that someone had murder Luang Pa Chawan. Since Setthapong knew his rival he would train harder and harder to have enought power to kill the person who kill Luang Pa Chawan.

Tearlach wanted what was right for Settaphong, like any teacher would want for his or her student. Even though Tearlach knew it would hurt the student so severely, he also knew what would be the positive effect. Setthaphong will grow stronger, have more independence in his life, and focus on his training- which had to accumulate all his concentration without any other obstacles. If Tearlach hadn't done anything about this, it would be possible that Settaphong might be seperated from his body, because his spirit is with Luang Pra Chawan without any discipline or limits that it most return back to his body. He is still young, and unexperienced with his learning- I believe this is his challenge, a part of his task. Obviously, the news would strike his heart with such sorrow and depression, but after a while- he will know what he want, and use his power wisely. We can't have everything in life, even if it means killing the person you love.

In this chapter, Tearlach decided to kill Luang Pa Chawan. Tearlach wants to help Settaphong to be safe and develop more about his power. Setthapong is attached to this monk and his visit to the monk had almost killed him. By this, Taerlach think it is a great distraction for Setthapong. If there is no more Luang Pa Chawan Setthapong would become stronger in his training. Tearlach decided to kill the monk by sending Tuyen to Thailand to put the poison powder in Luang Pa Chawan's food and then few days later the monk will died. By knowing that Luang Pa Chawan is no longer alive, Setthapong will probably changes. I think at first Settaphong will be very shock and sad about the news, he will be sad for a few days. But after that, Setthapong will realize what he should do. He will concentrate and focus more on his training without any distractions. Setthapong might be one of the very great astral traveling and develop his ability more and more in the future. Maybe one day he might become a great teacher for other people who also have the same kind of power that he does. Moreover, Setthapong will love and be more loyal to Tearlach because he will know that Tearlach wants to give him the best.

In order to establish full control over his follower Tearlach has proved himself that he will do anything necessary in order to acheive his out come no matter what the cost is. Although he knows that this decision will gravely affect Setthapong but it will remove his distractions out of the way. Luang Pa's existance is both a hinder to his plan and Setthapong's only attraction to his past. Since Setthapong cannot let go of his past, Tearlach needs to do it himself in order for Setthapong's growth into a stronger astropath and student. We can view his actions in two angles. First, he is a teacher who understands the pain of sacrificing something in order for growth to happen even if it will cause pain in the process. Fearing that Setthapong's long for Luang Pa will eventually lead to his demish, Tearlach have to take measures that the problem that will destroy his student be gone. Second, we can perceive that Tearlach is a psychopath who will do anything in order for his plan to be accomplish with hundred percent certainty. In other words he is a cold strategist who will kill in order to acheive his plan eventhough its immoral. These type of people will usually gets the solution they wants faster than those who will solve a solution in a slow but peaceful manner.

Killing Luang Pa Chawan is just a part of a game for gaining a full dominance over his student, Setthapong. Normally, there are several things that withheld a person from getting stronger. One of them is an individual who they love and dear so much. This factor keeps distracted a person to concentrate his/her path all the time. Thus, in order to make Setthapong to be stronger and concentrated, Tearlach must get rid of the monk. Setthapong will be affected emotionally by this. However, it will make him stronger and even more fearless. With nothing that can hold him back, he is now vulnerable of being transformed into heartless, cold killing machines that always ready to act like what its master orders it to do. I want to say that Tearlach hope for the best for his student but, indeed, he acts in such way for his own benefit. By killing Setthapong's original mentor, it helps persuade Setthapong into dedicating to his new master, Tearlach, in a much higher scale. In the past, it is a tug of war inside his mind; Luang Pa Chawan and his new family. Now that the monk is dead, Tearlach can finally establish a full grip of control over him.
