JA competition of the year was held several days ago in Thailand. It was the meeting of 10 countries of people. With over 60 students, it made me think that there might be clash of cultures or friendship that was hard to be created. It was true in the first day for me. I don't think I can get close to anyone after ice-breaking activity. However, several events just took us closer and closer . It was a fantastic moment that we were close to one another. There was a night that we were on the river cruise. I just feel like it was the real ice-breaking. However, I felt the friendship too late. I was a little disappointed because I wanted to be closer to them. On the other day, we went to Siam Paragon together. After all the business presentations, interviews, and judges' feedbacks, we took other countries' students to Paragon. We collaborated with Harrow students. Japanese kids were lost but eventually we were able to find them. We took pictures together and we got taxis for them. We tried to help them as much as we could. I just feel like days were passing too quickly. During the Award Ceremony, it was nervous for everyone. We honestly aimed for the Fedex Award but we found out that it was not us when JA was announcing the characteristics of this certain company. Singapore got it. However, we won the second place. There was only a student from Turkmenistan. When JA announced it was him who got the third place, I deeply feel inside that he must be really happy and cant imagine on how happy his friends will be when he tell the result to them. I just feel like he was here to do something for his school and country. We were clapping since he stood from his chair until he came back and sat down. The thing I cant imagine that i felt was when Harrow students got the first place. At first, I don't really like them. However, when they said "Boucase" won, I was really happy. I just felt that it's not necessary for us to win. We are here to make friends, do our best, and gain experiences because if we are here only to win, we won't do our best, make friends, and gain real experiences. It was the first time for me to meet all of them. After all, it was a memorable trip. To be honest, they aren't my best friends yet but I believe that they can be really good ones and actually are. This trip taught me that to start a business isn't hard, but to sustain and make it prosper is the hardest so one should take risk to do so. I feel the same way for friendship. Creating one is not hard, but we should take risk to make them worth the word "best friend".
